Who We Are
DrySense AI is a London-based property assessment service operating at drysense.app. We provide free AI-powered damp and mould assessments for residential and commercial properties across London.
What Data We Collect
When you use DrySense AI we collect:
- Assessment data: property type, location (borough and postcode), problem description, severity rating, rooms affected, property age, floor level, tenure, treatment history
- Contact details: name and phone number (only when you choose to connect with a specialist)
- Photos: images you upload during your assessment
- Technical data: IP address, device type, browser type, session data
- Conversation data: the full text of your assessment conversation
Why We Collect It — Our Lawful Basis
We collect and process your data for the following purposes, each with a lawful basis under UK GDPR:
- Service delivery (Legitimate Interest / Contract): To provide your free damp and mould assessment and deliver your results.
- Specialist referral (Consent): To share your contact details with a vetted local specialist — only when you explicitly agree at the end of your assessment.
- Service improvement (Legitimate Interest): To improve the accuracy and quality of our assessment tool.
- Anonymised data analytics and commercial licensing (Legitimate Interest): We create anonymised, aggregated datasets from assessment data. No individual can be identified from this data. These datasets may be shared with or licensed to third parties including insurers, property managers, letting agencies and housing associations for research and analytics purposes. Examples include borough-level damp prevalence data, property age risk profiles and treatment cost benchmarks.
Your Rights Under UK GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Request restriction of processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out)

Opt Out of Analytics
You may opt out of your assessment data being included in anonymised analytics datasets at any time by emailing drysense.ai@gmail.com with the subject “Analytics opt out” and your Assessment ID.
Who We Share Your Data With
- Vetted local specialists: only your name and phone number, only when you give explicit consent.
- Supabase (data storage provider): our database infrastructure provider, processing data on our behalf under a data processing agreement.
- Anthropic (AI provider):your conversation is processed by Anthropic's Claude API to generate your assessment. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to this processing.
- Anonymised aggregated data only: commercial third parties for analytics and research as described above. No personally identifiable information is ever included.
We never sell your personal data. We never share your identifiable data with advertisers.
How Long We Keep Your Data
- Assessment and property data (anonymised): retained indefinitely for research, analytics and commercial data licensing purposes
- Personal identifiers (name, phone number): retained for 2 years from collection or until you request deletion, whichever is sooner
- Photos: retained for 2 years from upload date, then permanently deleted
- Technical / session data: 90 days
Data Security
Your data is stored securely on Supabase's infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Photos are stored in a private, access-controlled storage bucket.
Cookies
We use essential session cookies only. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new “last updated” date.
